Services include: HIV/AIDS Testing and Prevention Sexually-Transmitted Disease Treatment Tuberculosis Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment Hansen s Disease Treatment Disease Investigation and Surveillance Childhood Immunizations Selected Travel Immunizations Well-Child Examinations Maternity/Prenatal Care Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program Family Planning Dental Services Lead Screening Nutrition Services Health Education -Environmental Health Services - HDHHS' Environmental Health Services division provides a variety of programs and services relating to air and water pollution, occupational health and food establishments. Air Quality Community and Childrens Health Consumer Health Services Lead Based Paint Hazard Reduction Water Quality -Community Support- HDHHS provides a variety of community support services to the residents of Houston. Houston/Harris County Area Agency Birth Certificates and Death Certificates (Bureau of Vital Statistics) Health Planning Jail Health/Emergency Medical Services Reference Laboratory/Well Water Analysis Emergency Preparedness - Multi-Service Centers - Eleven community-based multi-service centers provide an array of services chosen to meet the needs of the surrounding community. Most multi-service centers include, among other services, child daycare, senior citizen centers, substance abuse counseling, some emergency services and family counseling.
